    • format of Post-Sectional play    (Grades 4-7 only)

Please Note:

  1. All games are scheduled for Saturdays, starting on 14 March 2026.   Trial Ends at 12.30pm and start of play 12.50pm.
  2. If there is a reason why you need to swap the Home/away status of any game, or to alter the start time,  you will need your opponent’s agreement. Both clubs need to sign a Match Start Variation Form and the “home club” should submit that to Region Match ahead of the match for approval.
  3. All grades except 1, 2 & 7 will play a “home and away” series in Sections of 4 over 6 Rounds.
  4. Grades 1 & 2 play in a multi-grade competition over 7 rounds. Round 7 has been scheduled for the date set down for Post-Sectional play in other Grades (16 May 2026). If Grades 1 & 2 clubs wish to play their Round 7 game on an earlier date (e.g. if there is a “rain date” scheduled that is not going to be required for a “make-up game”), they may apply to do so by completing the Match Start Variation Form and submitting it in advance to Region Match for approval.
  5. Grade 3 is played in a single Section of four sides over 6 Rounds, with the winner being the side that finishes on top of the ladder at the end of Sectional play (no Final required).
  6. Grade 4 will be played in two Sections of four sides over 6 Rounds, with the two Section winners playing a knock-out Final on 16 May.
  7. Grades 5 & 6 are each played in four Sections of 4 sides over 6 Rounds.. The four Section winners will play in a “round robin” Finals series on the weekend of 16-17 May.
  8. Grade 7 will be played in two Sections over 7 Rounds. Round 7 is scheduled for the date set down for Post-Sectional play in other Grades (16 May 2026). The knock-put Final between the two Section Winners will be played on the date previously set aside as a “rain date” for Post-Sectional games – Sat 23 May 2026 – with the “rain date”  being Sunday 24 May.
