2026 Roseville Shield
10 Oct 2026

Roseville Shield Winners 2026 – Belrose

This year’s Roseville Shield was hosted at Lindfield Rollers Bowling Club on Saturday, 10 October. Twenty One clubs from throughout the Metro North-East Region were represented on the day with both morning and afternoon games. It was a day of changing seasons with the morning starting off with some light showers that eventually cleared to a bright and sunny day.

All games were played on the club’s new synthetic carpet greens which were highly praised by all in attendance. As the sun came out and dried the green, the pace of the green sped up to over 16 seconds. Everyone was impressed with how true the line of the bowls ran.

It was great to see nearly every club from the Region represented and all games were played with a wonderful spirit of competitive camaraderie.

The Belrose team of Sarah Cormio, Kasey Watson, Jason Beswick and Brad Franklin were declared the overall winners with 33 points and 42 shots margin.

The Asquith team of Gary Barton, Andrew Thomson, Mark Pitman and Bob McLeod were runners-up with 30 points and 23 shots margin.

Third place went to the Lindfield Rollers team of Finn Jorgensen, Susie Meares, Gary Forster and Bob Silversides with 29 points and 22 shots margin.

This event was again sponsored by Phil Lewis of Elections Australia Pty Ltd who has sponsored the event every year since 2002.

Synthetic Bowling Surfaces also helped sponsor the event by contributing to the cost of catering.
