Interested in Playing for Metro North-East?

The Metro North-East Region Selection Committee is seeking expressions of interest from eligible individuals who would like to represent the Region in 2025 in the following events:

Note: The Women’s Inter-Region is a new event and the COP states each Side must have a minimum of THREE players aged 60 years or over and a minimum of THREE players aged under 60 years of age, both as of a date specified by Bowls Australia.

The objective of the Metro North-East Region Selection Committee is to ensure that the best possible Sides are selected to represent the Region in the above events in order to promote the development and growth of the Region.

Submission of an EOI from an individual player MUST be returned no later than 5pm on Friday 13th December 2024 to Region Secretary Pat Mitchell at: [email protected]

Criteria for Selection

  1. Player must be registered with BNSW as an Individual Member, have a declared Club affiliated with the Metro North-East Region and be a financial member of that Club
  2. Player must be eligible to be selected to represent NSW
  3. Player must be available for the Metro Inter-Region Trial event on Sunday 2nd March and for the appropriate BNSW Inter-Region Sides Championship in May 2025
  4. Performance in Club Championships; Pennants; Region and State events
  5. Participation in the two most recent Pennant seasons
  6. Compatibility in team and side events
  7. Player fitness and ability to play on all surfaces
  8. Good sportsmanship and leadership abilities
  9. Players who have recently transferred to the Region must have met these criteria and demonstrated their ability at their previous Club and Region
