2024-25 State Women's Triples Champions
2024-25 Region Triples Championships
We commenced our inaugural Region Triples Championships over the weekend of 6 – 7July. It was a showery and cold weekend, however we managed to get through the first four rounds without any stoppages and completed the Senior Men’s and State Women’s Triples Championships on the Sunday.
Congratulations to the winners of the State Women’s Triples Championships – Jane Gibson, Chris Gordon and Virginia Longfellow (Harbord) who defeated Dale Nuttall, Midori Matsuoka and Patricia Tan (Belrose) 22 – 20 at Belrose.
We also congratulate the winners of the Senior Men’s Triples Championships – Richard Wise, Steve Gliddon and Steve Ashdown (Belrose) who defeated Graham Tetstall, Peter Crossingham and Tony Taylor (Harbord) 22 – 15 at Harbord.
We played our Senior Women’s Triples championship at Belrose on 9 – 10 July. Congratulations to the Champions: Dale Griffiths, Coral Lindley and Vicki Sawtell (Newport), who played a very solid game to defeat their Belrose opponents Suzi Fischer, Julie Baker and Billie Maas 26-13.
The State Men’s Triples final was played on Sat 13 July at Belrose between the two Belrose teams of Riley Scott-Branagan, Ethan Scott-Branagan, Matt Blackburn and Mick Rawlings, John Campton, Steve Rawlings. Congratulations to the Steve Rawlings team who defeated the Matt Blackburn team 26 – 13.
The Open Reserve Triples final was also played on Sat 13 July at Belrose between the teams of John Jobson, Warwick Bridge, Tony Gale (Chatswood) and Yvette Semler, Mark Lawrence, Sean Semler (Mosman). Congratulations to the Sean Semler team who defeated the Tony Gale team 23 – 16.
